The Science and Technology Advanced Research Laboratories, usually shortened to S.T.A.R. Labs, was a research organization founded by a scientist named Garrison Slate, who wanted a nationwide chain of research laboratories unconnected to the government or any business interests. Current head of Star Laboratories is Silas Stone.

LexCorp attempted to buy out S.T.A.R. on at least one occasion. The technology used to maintain Cyborg’s mechanical parts comes from S.T.A.R. Labs.

After the dead of Lex Luthor and during the events of A Better World Part2, Star Labs acquired many of Lexcorp laboratories incrieasing the number of locations from 25 to 45.

In 2008 Arcadia Radio exposes the Star Laboratories scientific document about the dangers of using the technology of Weather Wizard to keep a suitable environment for farming on South Africa.
